Can you say that an ant is `over the hill`?
Depends if he swallowed a senility pill!
He took one of those but now he's 'over the moon'
Thinking he is part of an ant cartoon
So he found a box of biscuits and ate his fill.

I found a lot of ants swimming in my kettle
and there they want permanently to settle
But I don`t want `em swimming where I brew my tea
But I wonder if they might agree
I will try to persuade them with some very hot metal.

Johnny giraffe has an itchy tongue
Which makes treatment difficult since he is so young
He could scratch it on accacia
but nothing helped the poor fella

Hark, I finally hear a man with manners!
but why does he walk around with banners?
He is advertising the Skukuza Cricket Tournament
Or maybe he is a knight in chivalrous raiments?
blazing a trail throughout the savannahs

Full body armour must be stifling

A Jackalberry had had no view for a thousand years
Till the way was cleared by pioneers
Now Jackalberry looks right over the Pioneer dam
Like a ewe would look at her newborn lamb
while people sit in its shade and sip their beers.

The cheetah was sitting figuring the distance

So let us all stand up and fight the robbers
Their deeds are simply intolerably macabre
the guys in cartoons wear striped jumpers and masks
And successfully complete some unbelievable tasks
Not people of the highest calibre

At a cricket match...
The umpire in his skirt that resembled thatch
with red feathers and doing the hoola
and enjoying the juice of the marula
drumming up funds, for poachers to catch
.....................................................
A Silent Auction to raise some cash

A Silent Auction to raise some cash
Shhhhhhh, it's so exciting I might get a rash
Lets raise plenty to scare off forever the killer poachers
as they have so many reproachers
We need to go find there stash.

Cricket at Skuks started early this morning

Cricket at Skuks started early this morning
and some of us were still yawning
But some were already togged out
with yellow ribbons all about
And the bowlers were throwing down their warnings

The snake handler was bitten by a black mamba
He danced the tango and the snake the Ramba
Both garbed in tuxedo and bowtie
the snake handler was a brave guy....
as he clacked castanets and shouted "Caramba!"

Do hippos fantasise about ballet, I wonder?
they surely look like ballerinas when the water they're under
with silhouettes wavy and indeterminate
and a strangely, delicate, elegant gait
and music that sounds oddly like thunder.

Seems we'll be playing cricket in the sand
with cheerleaders to beat the band
Maybe the ball will be buried
and if there are scorpions, be worried

A trap door spider popped out of his home,
The doors and windows were all made of chrome
he polshed them every morning and night
A web browser`s source of continual delight
then messed them all up with a layer of foam

Warty was such a handsome lad
God couldn't be everywhere so he made Grandmas

It was a dark and stormy night
one where animals stayed out of sight
wearing their macs and their wellies
except, of course, for all the ellies
Who cowered under a tarpaulin and so they were alright
