Wow! Extensive damage - we left the park on the 18th just before all the floods. Wishing SANParks and everyone involved all the best in getting things up and running again :clap:

We arrived in Kruger on the 20th of Jan and had an awesome time. In fact this has been my best holiday ever!!!

Sure we could not get into Talamati/Tambotie and some roads were closed but considering the pictures of the flood it amazed me we could travel from as high as Mopani till Lower Sabie (10 days).

Sable bird hide is open. Still flooded on the 22 but well worth the overnight stay
Some Lower Sabie tents facing the river still damaged .
Lake Panic hide was open.

Considring the damge we saw outside the park in Hazyview its testament to good management and pro-active maintenance.
Well done Kruger Park for cleaning up so quickly and getting those roads repaired and graded. Really impressed.

By products of the flood is the bird and bats using the bridges now in the campsites.

I only have afterwards pics, and these are all on the Sabie River on 31 Jan and 1/2 Feb.

Somewhere near Nwatimhiri Causeway

One of the small loops down to the river on the Skukuza side of the H12 bridge
