I've received a wonderful gift from my wife.It is a book written in Afrikaans with the title" Gee my n man".The author is Hannes Kloppers and it is about the early years and the proclamation of the Kalahari Gemsbok Park and what huge challenges Joep Le Riche and Gert Mouton the first rangers had to overcome.
It really is great and informative reading for all lovers of KTP.

Hi Gariep and a very warm welcome to posting on the Forum Thanks for the info about the book - I have a friend who has it and he says it is amazing - hopefully he will lend it to me soon although I don't know if I can manage the whole thing in Afrikaans - the last time I had to read an Afrikaans book was some 30 years ago in Matric but I'm going to give it a bash again I think

Lion queen - thanks for that ! I think I might treat myself then and get my Afrikaans back into gear so I can help out the next time KTp runs their "Kids in Parks" - thought my Afrikaans was too vrot to do it last time
