Nope - the starting point is one of the old outposts used as anti-poaching base these days.

Well I forgot about this quiz!!

I think it was getting too difficult, as initially there was alot of interest - later on it only dwindled to 1 or 2 mites participating.

The answer to the last one was starting on the S25, somewehere near the Hippo Pools, there used to be an anti poaching base and it ended up at Gayisenga Waterhole. I can't remember whose picture I was gonna use - so I don't have it... but here is the map:

The stones and gravel crack under Tysie's wheels as we move slowly past. I can't believe that we would've had to use this as the gate almost 60 years ago. I've been here many times before and decide to push on past the waterhole to meet up with the highway again. Turning right, it's a short distance to the viewpoint. I get out, binoculars in hand and scan the savannah for movement. To the left is a small breeding herd of ellies. A Kudu in the riverbed below... and I can hear the troop of baboons making their way across the koppie on my right. After a quick cup of coffee I move off again. I need some supplies and decide to skip the 2 turn offs left and right, although I know there is 2 cheetahs in the area. As I approach the next turnoff a bunch of impalas run across the road. I stop to see if anything is chasing but after a few minutes only notice a Nyala in the shade. After 15km of smooth driving I strike a roadblock. As I slow down I soon realise why - this dam has always been a popular spot for animals and roadblocks alike. This time even more so, as 2 ellies had a go at each other in the water....

I think the clue was pretty easy to figure out that we started at Rabelais Hut and worked our way up to Nsemani Dam.

I'll work on the map, as well as putting up a new question later in the day.

We started at Rabelais Hut, which was the gate 56 years ago. I drove up to the H7 tar road and turned towards Satara. After the short stop to watch the ellies, Kudu and listen to the baboons at Bobbejaanskrans, I carry on past the S39/S36 crossing, until I get to Nsemani Dam, where Carolv took this great pic of 2 ellies having a little disagreement:
