Everybody should go to Skukuza and Lower-Sabie. They have kept up with time and have most of everything you need. Dont worry, the noise wont bother you that much. Just drink a bit more and you should be fine. The nightclub opens at 23h00!!

Definately stay away from Punda, Shingwedzi, Satara, Letaba, Berg-en-Dal and especially Croc Bridge. There is nothing there for anybody and these camps has not changed in years. The shops are small and understocked and there are no tjommies for your kids to play with. By 20h00 it is dead quiet. Who wants that?

Is O nice? Booked there for the first time - going in August. Staying in BBD2V bungalow which has views of the O river apparently.

Somebody's gonna ask you where it is on a map Rusky.

Orpen is near the Timbavati river......but you cannot see it from camp.

O on the O river has stunning views, G5000.

Just realised of course that there are two Os!! OL have to get that right next time OR I might as well leave the forum for good and spend my time elsewhere - perhaps practising my LS in the nets?

pen!
Just to claim a place in this amazing den.

To a graceful flyer I too am it’s home
And when using my tree, it’s never alone
For the francolins and guineafowls too have a feast
When I’m not burning and being a beast!

Now plenty has been written and I am sure you have read
How the man of religion suggests you go elsewhere instead.
But I smile and I chuckle and never get sad, for it is his way of having a bed.

And there’s that serval that loves me, for my peace and my quite,
And has told you of his sleep, under the stars here at night.
With hyena and lion abound here at night he could be in for one hell of a fright.

Like the man from down under who thought I was haunted for sure
And impressed by the lady who sings while doing her chores
He just came for a ramble but now he wants more!

As the sun starts to set over this place of little mortar
The baboons will return from the cliff, along the bitter water,
Bringing with them their sons and daughters.

The abundance of Bushbuck may stop for a drink … but where?
For they once were assured it will always be there.

Now you know and I know it isn’t the case
But still there will be good sightings from this little place!

Rusky what a great tribute to what sounds to me like a very special and well cared for little camp - I have never been to this magical place which seems that the identity of is best not revealed hmz:. For a moment I thought that you are describing Roodewal
