Hi,

We are planning a trip and trying to decode the Storms River map and Accommodation types.

What is the difference between a Chalet, a chalet-pens and a chalet s-d?

On the map what are the numbers for these types? Are any better than others?

Also on the map what does the B&A stand for in units13-15?

It's amazing that this has been addressed before, but they still haven't put a better map up.

Thanks for the help.

George

Hi gqueen,

What I can tell you is that the numbers 16 aand b and 17 are the 2Honeymoon" cottages. The are new, have a wonderful position, right on the sea . They all have a double bed.

If you want twin beds go for 4, 5 and six (CH-2S I think). Also 11 has a great position, but I do not know how it is inside or what it is.

4, 5, 6 etc. are chalets s-d as far as I remember. they are open space and nice. We stayed in no, 4 in january. 1, 2 and 3 are too close to the parking.

Avoid 15, 14 and 15 as they are humid and need refurbishing.

Go for or the honeymoon cottages or the CH-2S or CH-4S)

You can find more info here!

The accommodation booking pages shows there are FIVE HC2 cottages. I know 16A, 16B and 17 are three, but which are the other two?

We have been three times to Storms River during coastal trips (hard to drag us from KNP  ), but only during the day. We wish so much to stay over, right on the ocean.
If we can be sure all 5 HC2 cottages are ocean-side then its wonderful and we don't need to worry which one we get.

Hi,

We have been to Storms River quite often and all the chalets face the sea, some on the other side of the road but facing the sea.

Have a great time there!

There are three HC (honey moon) the others are CH. Try and get the CH2S or CH2Z if you are only 2 persons, if not the CH4 of the same kind. They are right on the sea. On the map they are numbered 1 to 6 and the higher number the better ( away from the parking lot). No. 11 has a great position, but I do not know what kind of chalet it is. Enloy

thanks both for the quick responses.

The issue is that the sanparks booking site shows FIVE HC2, not 3. If I don't know where the other two are I can't book, as I don't want to risk getting one of the two that I don't know where they are.

If no-one knows I can probably arrange a friend to get in touch with the Storms River reception, but I'm not convinced they'd know either!
So far we are clear three of the five HC2 are 16A, 16B and 17.

Sorry to contradict you, but on the accomodation availability page there are only two, not even three Honeymoon Cottages. Look here!!

Indeed - its like no two bits of information line up :? .
Forumites seem to be clear there are at least three 16A, 16B and 17.
The on-line booking shows 5 available HC2 on many many dates (sorry I haven't the skills to post such link).
On-line booking could well be wrong of course! Wish I could afford to book all 5 on-line and see which keys I end up with

Try to book via e-mail and tell them exactly what you want, number of the Chalet included

Which dates are you looking for?

The other 2 honeymoon cottages are 6 A and 6 B. We are currently in 6 A. Wonderful view and walking distance to the restaurant.

Alf - thanks thats good to know ..... but guess what?

I'm still none the wiser. Do you mean 8A & 8B?
If not where are 6A and 6B, as I thought only a nr 6 exists.

or is the attached map mis-numbered?

16A, 16B, 17, 8A & 8B would be fine for the 5 HC2s.
