This serves as a notice that the access road to the Restcamp from the reception will be closed from Monday 14 November 2011 untill 24 November 2011 due to roadworks. Alternative route to the camp will be via the Eastern Drive.

Management would like to apologise for the inconvenience but ensures the guest that this will better their experience once finished.

I presume that you are referring to the "old" reception. Are there any news on the opening of the new entrance to the park (which has been completed a long time ago)? Is the upgrading of the road between reception and the rest camp because the new entrance/reception is still not ready? Is there any possibility that the problem of the staggered junction of the intended new entrance with the N2 will be resolved shortly?

I am booked in the park 2-5 Dec 2011. And I would hate to travel via the Eastern route with my caravan to Lang Elsieskraal if the maintenance between reception and the camp has not been completed yet.

To anwser your question, the new entrance gate is not formally open due to the situation with the N2 turn-off. The new gate will however be open to overnight guests who have made a booking prior to arrival. You can just show your proof of booking and proof of payment to the person at the gate. PLEASE NOTE THAT ONLY CAMPERS WITH CARAVANS WILL BE ALLOWED TO ENTER AT THIS GATE.

The reception staff will however phone you prior to your arrival to let you know that Die stroom gate is open if we are still busy with roadsworks at that time.

Thanks for the reassuring information Marloise. I really wish that the issue with the N2 junction can be solved shortly.
