When you come to think of it -- where else will you find total strangers going out of their way to meet each other and then becoming friends ?

Who will drop what they're doing to help each other out ?

So ... we're on our way to KTP. Try to look up Lion Queen's cell no -- not on my phone Then remember I've downgraded to my original phone which doesn't even do mms's so forget about the internet

Sms to Matthys to ask her to please send a pm to Lion Queen to explain my rudeness.

Sitting outside Pick 'n Pay in Upington when my phone rings. It's Lion Queen making sure I now have her number. SO tries to start the car -- battery dead We're still chatting so tell her we're not leaving just yet -- so Lion Queen says -- hang on, we'll be there in 10 minutes

So a big THANK YOU to Matthys for sending a pm so quickly and another BIG THANK YOU to Lion Queen & SO for getting us on the road again We really enjoyed the mini-meet and were sorry we couldn't visit a bit longer ..... next time

Fast forward 2 weeks to a flat tyre which was changed at Kamqua picnic spot -- by a very helpful !Xaus Lodge guide Checked in at MataMata and spoke to George, the manager. We called Jannie (Kgalagadi Guru) and, once again, they couldn't be more helpful They bought a new tyre for us and had it delivered from Upington to Twee Rivieren where the technical services guys fitted it on a Sat afternoon. To say we were blown away by the service would be an understatement

The Kgalagadi staff are all fanatstic

And the forumites we've met personally, and on-line, are as well.

So give yourselves all a huge pat on the back -- you all deserve it

When my camera was letting me down after the Kgalagadi trip and I gave P@m a call, she was more than willing to give a helping hand...........lift down to CT for the broken camera and taking it in for repairs................so back to a wonderful friend
