Just testing to see how it comes as I have no idea how to convert a Adobe PDF document to word. I have now printed the pages, scanned them and transferred to flickr. Lets us see what happens.

Nope . I get the following message. "Your images may only be up to 800 pixels high."

Let me experiment a bit.

I have altered the size to the maximum of 800 pixels and this is the result.

That line used to have the name "the line of death."

A colourful history, but I am glad it no longer dissects the KNP.

One can enlarge the screen by pressing the "Ctrl" button and while doing so, scrolling on your scroll wheel on the mouse. Then it becomes an easy read.

There is brief mention of the accident in the book "Neem Uit Die Verlede" by the late Dr U de V Pienaar , ex Warden of KNP .

Streamtrainfan, you are my hero! I have been trying to track down details of this incident for over six months now and kept coming up against dead ends. The amazing thing to think is that there are probably still quite a few people kicking around today who were involved in that accident. My next mission is to try and track one of them down!

It is so strange to think that a trainline once disected the southern part of the Park. I am glad it no longer does, but who wouldnt have LOVED to have taken that train ride?
