Hi all

Wondered if any experts out there could cast any light on these beyond that:
1 is a Praying Mantis photographed at Oudtshoorn late November

Thanks

This next one I'm not sure of ,think it is the female of this.

Except that the picture is not of an egg, but of an egg packet. This foamy parcel contains several eggs.

Hi there
It is the egg case of the Praying Mantis. Inside that case are lots of eggs and as they hatch they eat their way out of it. When formed it is soft but by the next day it is rock hard. Nature is wonderful isn't it.
