Remarkable Trees of the World. Thomas Pakenham

Unread postby Meandering Mouse » Sun Oct 02, 2011 9:11 am

I have always associated Thomas Pakenham with his remarkable book on the boer war. Possibly one of the best books on the war ever written.

This is one of three books written by Thomas Pakenham on trees. He combines splendid illustrations, personal love and his journalistic interest in history in a highly readable and intelligent fashion. For those who love trees and love good writing, this book is a must.
The bird doesn't sing because it has answers, it sings because it has a song.
