One of either 1 ) Shingwedzi river from bridge as Theuns said , but taken in NORTHERN direction .
Or , a little further north , 2 ) Of the Mphongolo river , just north of confluence with Shingwedzi , and taken from near Lamont .
Tread softly , and let your departure not be spoiled by the damage of your arrival

Next :
3 - 6 Sept 2013 - Punda.
7 - 10 Sept 2013 -Shingwedzi .
11 - 13 Sept 2013 - Balule .
14 - 17 Sept 2013 - Satara .

hey everyone.

its not on the S50 or the shingwedzi river.

shingwedzi is too far north from olifants.

also bear in mind this was taken in december last year and it looked the same in january of this year.

Southern bank of Letaba river downstream from Shimuwini at the end of the low maintenance gravel road (accessed from Phalaborwa / Mooiplaas tar road) ?
KNP is sacred. I am opposed to the modernisation of Kruger and from the depths of my soul long for the Kruger of yesteryear! 1000+km on foot in KNP incl 56 wild trails.200+ nights in the wildernessndloti-indigenous name for serval.

Hi Leachy. Is that not the Olifants - if not from the Olifants High Bridge then maybe from the bank of the river just north of that bridge on the left going north before turn off to Olifants camp?

leachy - Yes there seems to be a lack of interest in identifying the water trough in my post.

The Elephants were photographed at the Dzombo West drinking trough on the S144 south of Shingwedzi.

Thanks for your interest -
