No fixed habits. It depends on the e-mail notifications, on my mood, on the things that interest me on that day and on what happened/was read or written the day before.

I always log in, open the web cams, minimize them to see what is going on at the waterholes every now and then, then I open e-mail notifications, read what's new on those threads, then I go to view active topics, but also spend most of my time on trip reports (I am hooked on trip reports!), then I log out again when I am finished. :)

 @ Brummie. You learn over the years. Well, sometimes. I have the doubtful distinction of messing up my antelope. First the Springbok, then the sable and the roan which I put in one herd and last but not least the Red Hartebeest I seem to have found in KNP in December. Thankfully there's always somebody to correct me.

 Oh, it stirred enough interesting conversation when it happened. Some of which left me quite  and some really

Nah, that's from the past. I now know better, so....

NEXT.....

i always
1. open up the webcams
2. log into forums
3. "view posts"
and from there i usually check what new topics have been added.

Brummie, great to see you Brumming around again :D I hope that we see a lot more of you.

I open my emails, once I have checked anything work related I go onto the forum. I then scan the "latest postings" and go into what holds my interest.

Sometimes at work, I go on as a guest. If there is something really important I will log on and post. Our work computer is a bit slow though and it is frustrating waiting for a response.

first, I read all the posts I have received notifications and there is a lot... for me
loging automatic... so I'm always login
then go to see if I have received all the notifications
then, if I have time enough (I need so much time to read, understand the (new) subjets etc... ), go to active topics

As of a few minutes ago, Wed 3:50 pm, there was only 1 page ( 23 posts) under new posts.
I would love to be able to read all of a day's new posts, even the next day or so, before they go under their subject headings.
Is it possible to have the posts day by day for a week or so and then I could catch up with days i had to miss?
I think there must be others who like "NEW POSTS", as well as me.

Normally I will browse as a guest, if I see something interesting I will log in and post. I have been logged in for an hour or so. I have spent a lot of time reading the "complaint posts", that said I was very surprised to find such vitriol on the forum.
I really enjoy this forum, being a noob I read mostly and learn from the others.

My modus operandi is to log in go to greets and greet and then to browse what ever takes my fancy

I rather prefer to visit the general posts, because we can share our day to day activities in that section.

I usually first follow a link from an email to a topic I need to reply on and then head off to view new topics and post in whatever catches my interest :D
