Dabchick, you are generalizing. Some campers  (Maybe they are jealous of those sleeping in comfy beds  )

Why do people go to a game reserve and spend all day at the pool? :wall:

Firstly it is 43 degrees and secondly the 'bird' watching is good. It is good to see some 'chicks' cooling off

Can only speak for us, so...

Yes, we campers are just jealous of your comfy beds and on-suite ablusions  And the fact that you don't have to spend your first few hours in the park fighting with the poles :wall:

But promise we don't give dirty looks :naughty:

Why do people drive long distance to another camp to see animals there, only to find out the best sightings were near the camp where you stayed at :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: , e.g. Letaba drives to Mopani and Mopani to Letaba.

Why do people drive the entire day to go and watch the animals ... and then promptly drive past anything that is not a lion or a leopard?

I think it's funny that when you wear khaki clothes and leather boots all week, you want to get out of them when not working . But in Kruger many visitors who are not going walking, are dressed for a safari, with fisherman waistcoat and sturdy boots !

@forestgump. Did I tell you about the khaki clad folks that arrived at Berg-en Dal with their old Ford F250? Well, ouboet had a Chuck Norris belt on with a Tarzan knife and machete attached to it. Between the seats was an axe the size of a ten pound hammer. At that stage I wondered whether they were on the attack or preparing for an assault by the big five. If necessary mods, feel free to delete, but they looked like the Boeremag that 'invaded' Bophuthatswana during the early 90's.
