Great thread so thank YOU Marijke  I have to say that whilst Talamati did not have the view that we had at Biyamiti it is a very special camp, I loved every moment that I spent there. Second best camp imo next to Sirheni which I fell in love with last year

Pafuri is definitely an area that I want to go and spend more time exploring. The camp itself was amazing and the surrounding area stunning. It was a very special ending to a three wk trip though Kruger last year and I would highly recommend both camps

Pleasure Mi :D

and here is your shower at Talamati

Balule Satellite Camp - Rustic Huts

Image

Pic 1: Huts next to the fence, you can park your car nearby. Every hut has his own braai, table and chairs outside. Inside 3 beds and a cupboard

Pic 3: The communal kitchen, all working by gas. The stove was very rustic, i wouldn´t wonder, if the stove has the same age as the camp has.

All pics taken in december 2005.
:hmz: Thinking about the next trip :hmz:

In 2008 we were awarded with bungalow No. 27 in Berg-en-Dal which is in my opinion one of the best with perimeter view – very close to the fence and we could watch two elephants from our verandah feeding and walking their ways – amazing.

Although nearly packed all cameras away already for our departure the next morning Timon was able to take the following shots of the newly renovated bungalows. The bedroom remained nearly the same (still 3 beds) but 2 beds have now been put together. The kitchen is completely new and also the bathroom and toilet (separate now)

The living/sleeping room has still got the same size as before but I feel that the kitchen/bathroom area is a bit larger now. All windows have been replaced and you now have to enter the bungalow via the sliding door – no door in the kitchen.
The verandah is partly roofed which was very comfortable as it rained a bit whilst braaing but the light outside is still a bit too dark and you must use a torch in checking your steaks on the braai – btw I checked in each camp the braai grids and the one in Berg-en-Dal was totally clean so was everything else here.

Thank you so much Pumbaa

Your pictures are beautiful. I want to visit Kruger right Now after looking at them. Thanks for sharing it with us. I added them to the first page.

Oh and I was wondering. The Satara bungalow. According to the map your bungalow was a 3 bed. But I only saw 2 beds. Where did they put the 3rd bed?
