Tsetse are only a problem in miombo woodland, not on the dambos and along the river, so did not really get bitten. Just a problem driving in. A mxiture of 50/50 dettol and water which you spray on yourself seems to help, others recommend avon skin so soft! It is stunning place.....

Wildlover, you could try second hand book shops or look online at Amazon or Kalahari.

I've got one of those Reader's Digest Condensed Books, with The White Lions in it. So there's many places to look...

My Dad died in March this year and I inherited most of his wildlife books including "The White Lions of Timbavati". I really enjoyed reading this book.

JJ , good to hear from you again !

This book stirred my imagination and was my one of the motives that made me a "bush nut" .

My copy of it seems to have disappeared ...

Hi Ndloti!

My dad left me 3 boxes of wildlife books and I have been having a whale of a time reading them and learning a lot about wild animals. I even have a very old map of the Kruger Park that was printed in the 60's and cost 25 cents!!!!!!
