Hi can someone provide me the number for Addo Reception? I tried calling this number +27 (0) 42 233 8600 but no one picks up the phone.

The reason is that We will be flying in from CPT to PLZ for Addo and we will be staying in Addo Main Rest Camp.

However, on our morning flight in to PLZ, we will be driving to Bloukrans for a jump (commitments to some party members) and then driving to Addo.

We arrive around 1130AM.... and my estimation of time is as follows...

Collect car by 12

+2.5hrs to Bloukrans

+2hrs @ Bloukrans

+3.5hrs to Addo

So based on this calculations, we would arrive Addo around 8 PM in the night. SanParks central reservations told me late check in is not a problem as long as I call and notify them beforehand....

I would like to check if thats really not a problem?

Also, can we enter? Addo Camp @ 8pm? I read that Addo External main gate opens @ 7am while internal main gates opens @ 6am. Is there a closing time for the External main gate to enter Addo?

Hi I got thru!!! They told me the gates will be opened till 10pm... any later I have to contact the "anytime on duty" manager... otherwise, after 7pm and before 10pm, they will leave the keys at the main gate.

Also they said I need to call in advance that I arrive late and so they could leave the keys at the main gate...

Hi Dotty and DB,

Please DO NOT use this number +27(0)42 2330556/7. This is the (very) old number.

Use +27(0)42 2338600 or email addoenquiries@sanparks.org

We will be booking soon. On departure we have an early flight from PE. Can we arrange to leave the park at 0500?

Thanks

Hi there

If you will be staying at the the Addo Rest camp then that is actually
outside of the main Park and one can come and go at anytime.

We left at 2am for our trip home.

Must admit that was two years ago - so, unless things have changed
you should be fine with your times.

Although there is a security guard staioned at the main entrance gate 24 hours a day, there is now a sliding gate which is locked between 10pm and 5am so you would not be able to enter or exit between these times.
