I have 3 kids aged 10, 7 and 5 and they are all crazy about KNP and the bush. The 10 and 7 year old nag all the time about the travels tales, which they love reading.

I have read somewhere that kids need to be 12 to be a member of this forum. Is this correct?

My clan is only permitted to read these tales when there’s an adult around to supervise, but moan all the time that they can’t post a response to a trip report that they have enjoyed.

Hi Bushcraft

Parental consent will have to be given for children under the age of 13 years. Read more about COPPA.

If you wish you can contact me via PM with details of your children who wants to register and I'll take the matter up with Site Admin.

Thanks, Bushcraft.

Normally if the age is less than 13 the system would send a form that you (the parent) need to fill and fax to us.

Currently that form submission is not working. We hope to fix this with the next upgrade.

But this is not a problem. For the mean time, please send me a fax with this info:

Although the forum has pretty tight rules, which are quite stringently applied, it might be a good idea for parents to vet what their young children read, and explain some of the passion, warped humour etc so they don't get influenced negatively.
