Location: Johannesburg - too far from the closest Sanpark
I recently read Sky Guide Africa South 2011, published by The Astronomical Society of Southern Africa and Struik Nature.

I really enjoyed this book. It has great descriptions of many celestial bodies, and has wonderful diaries and sky maps. Its also pretty cheap.

Definitely recommended for sky gazing enthusiasts.
