The Honorary Rangers of Marakele National Park invite all enthusiastic tree lovers to join them to identify trees under the expert guidance of Naas Grové, author of the book Dances with Trees.
Seven lectures will be followed by a practical session in mountain, grassveld, forest and vlei habitats.
A limited number of enthusiasts will be accommodated in tents or in the old farmhouse. Please provide your own linen, bedding, drinks, insect repellant, sunscreen, hat, magnifying glass and field guides.
Come and enjoy the peace and beauty of a wilderness area without electricity, cell phone reception or other campers. Attempt to identify other species in the vicinity of the 30m high Podocarpus falcatus; relax next to a dam where various species of Ficus are abundant; enjoy the breathtaking picture of hundreds of Burkea africana amidst other trees before venturing further amongst the wide variety of indigenous flora at the foot of the Waterberg Mountains.

NB: Single people are welcome if willing to share, or singly in tents at the same cost. Unfortunately no children under 16 will be allowed.
