LQ, just a warning. Don't want you to suffer from stress on your return from KTP. I suspect there will be more people and more traffic in Kgalagadi than in Upington during peak hour.

Why have the herbivores of Kgalagadi adjusted their feeding time to night and early morning?

The moisture levels are higher in the plant material during the night and early in the day.

Springbuck does not like it to feed in direct sunlight, but rather in the sade of trees.

  Apologies......

Thanks to all for participating.

Lion Queen, you are absolutely correct.

Because the Kalahari air cools significantly at night and relative humidity therefore increases, many plants are able to take up moisture at this time. By adjusting their time of feeding to night and early morning, antelope are able to take in food when its moisture content is highest; this provides them with the bulk of their water requirements.
