Lower Sabie riverview bungalows 73 -96 are my favourites, near the fence, away from the restaurant and nice and quiet.
The family huts at Letaba 101 -110 are riverview and nice

You might think that at Satara it doesn't matter but I think it does.
Just like when people camp here they will go for sites closest to the fence.
Now on the opposite side of camp you have got some perimeter view bungalows.
This is the side where the waterhole with webcam used to be and hopefully soon will be again.
All of them very nice, looking out over the veldt.
If memory serves me right number 168 had the best position. It's in the middle of two half-moons of bungalows but situated in such a way that if you sit on your stoep you can hardly see any of the other bungalows.
It's also the closest one to the fence. Numbers 161, 167, 169 and 179 are also not too bad, they are on the ends of the half-moon, meaning they are closer to the fence than the rest.
I always try to get a bungalow on this side of camp.

I dont know what size unit you have booked..if you have booked the bigger one, then try to reserve number 11 at Talamati, it has a nice position. The rest are all excellent though, there are none much better than others.

No 6 at Biyamiti is a good one, 4, 5, 6, and 7 are all good in fact, we stayed in Number 5 and the trees in front of us were a bit thick though.

I took a walk and I quite liked number 7. From it you kinda look down on the riverbed. But 5 was lovely too.

95 and 96 at Lower Sabie are the best......... there is room outside the fence, straight in front of your hut for a hippo to graze........ they are right at the far end of the rest camp.

We have stayed at both camps. Don't worry about the units at B, they all face the river bed. At T they all face each other. Rather try to get on a night ride at both. The big 5 are resident near B , and leopards are regularly sighted, and we saw serval, African wild cat and civet on the rides from T.

Ok ... forgetting what was said previously ...

Please can anyone help me ...

What's the best huts, bungalows, safari tents to stay in at the following places

1. Punda Maria - I asked for Safari Tent No. 3
2. Shingwedzi - Which Hut?
3. Letaba - Which Safari Tent?
4. Satara - Which Bungalow?
5. Skukuza - Which Bungalow and which Safari Tent?

Time is of the essence here people ... as Monday will be my last day before we are off

But please .. I still really need your help

Satara - Try to get one in G block. Perimeter view on restuarant side. We stayed in G166 in Feb

Letaba - Did you book a 2 or 4 bed tent? If 2 bed don't take 11! I think 16-19 or even 20 will be good. The larger (4 bed) tents are the ones in the middle of the camping ground. No 8 had Cut-throat Finches in the tree in front of the tent.

Skukuza - We stayed in 28 during Feb. 3 beds but not great location . It is close to the movie screen and library though and just a short walk to the shop. We don't visit there regularly so I cannot make a suggestion there.

Punda Maria - None of the tents actually have a great view as such as it's situated a way from the fence. The one JB and BNF had during the birding day is a short walk from the parking but situated higer up than the one we had. I quite liked that one. Ask JB what the number was either 5 or 6. Yes I know there are people who do not like those tents!

Shingwedzi - Have never stayed in the bungalows. Only camped there once. Nico will be able to tell you though, if I remember correctly he calls it HOME

Wild@Heart, safari tents in Letaba - 2bed tents - nr 18 or 20.
20 is at the end of the row and more secluded than any other.
18 is also positioned well.
If not 18 or 20, then any other from 12 to 19. As francoisd said, the 4 bed ones are in the middle of the camping area and not as well positioned.
Tents in Skukuza - 320, 314, 315, 316 are positioned against the fence and the best bet.
The others next to the fence are also closest to the staff quarters, and we have experienced quite a lot of noise pollution from there.
All the tents are unfortunately very close together with nothing separating them.
They are all close to the ablutions.

Punda Maria. Tent No. 2 should be a winner. I stayed there
No.3 is on the perimeter. The best one

Letaba. Go for 20
I have also stayed there. Its indeed the last one in the row.

Olifants * bungalow 1 - 7 10-13
Letaba ** bungalow D59-64 17-19

Satara if in a perimeter bungalow, G block :- 167 very close to fence-middle of the two semi circles, 161 or 179 on the ends of each semi circle, 166 or 168, the bungalows in the 160's are closer to the fence than the ones in the 170's semi circle.

#16 is my favourite.
You have a nice river view but also get to see the animals that walk next to the fence to and from the river. Great for privacy!
