Thanks TP.   Fascinating stuff. Yes, I see that there is continuing doubt as to where various species fit into the evolutonary tree - and quite a lot of doubt at that!
I definitely am increasingly convinced that Homo Sapiens generally underestimates the abilities and skills of our predecessors! One day, I believe, we are going to be stunned by a magnificent discovery that will show that those so-called "apemen" were anything but!

Interesting read:

Oldest evidence of arrows found

Quote:
Researchers in South Africa have revealed the earliest direct evidence of human-made arrows.

The scientists unearthed 64,000 year-old "stone points", which they say were probably arrow heads.

Closer inspection of the ancient weapons revealed remnants of blood and bone that provided clues about how they were used.

Thanks, Bishop; interesting stuff. We get blurry-eyed over 2000 years, or at most 10000 of human history: here we are talking 64000 years! What did we get up to all that time ago? :hmz:

HE

Pity TP hasn't returned to this fascinating quiz, to regale us with his brand of wonderful information and humour. :(

Own, could take a few years though,
but let's suffice and wait! Maybe TP
took the 2 million year old chick for
supper. Could take a few years this
supper with A. sedibeng.
