Okay I have the info!! I need at the end of this week 10 people's names for the night drive. The night drive will be R125pp. I need to know by sunday who are interested.. We will also have the use of the lapa to braai and warm up afterwards! Bring lots of warm clothes!! and warm drinks!!

Will there still be a get together during the day? I don't think I can make it for the night drive.

Mads, I am a "newbie" on this site but would love to join you and other San Parks forum members at Reitvlei on the 11th of Sept if okay ... I am also up for the night drive too. How do I sort payment out for this?

Incidentally, I was a Rietvlei lastweek and was horrified to see 4 adult rhinos that had had their horns sawn off. I know it is to prevent poaching (apparently 2 rhino were poached from Rietvlei about 6 weeks ago) but it just looks awful ... poor things.

WendyA I dont like the dehorning of rhinos either.. but Rietvlei hasnot lost a Rhino since the dehorning, while Krugersdorp has lost their whole population to poaching!! The rhinos were poached in March 2010. on the bright side the new baby (about 5 months old) are very cute!!

Mads, you already have 10 names for the night drive - can they accommodate more people? Do you know what the duration of the drive is?

Hi Johan N, we can book 2 vehicles so we can take a max of 20 people. The duration of the drive is 2+ hours. We will start 6:00

Before you are fully booked, please add me and Bushbaby30 to the list for the nightdrive! We will only be able to join the meet at about 4 o'clock, but we will hate to lose out on something so special!

This sounds fantastic. My wife works 2/3 nights a week and I do not have her schedule as yet. Please can you provisionally book for 2 people for braai and night drive. Hopefully we will also have some great pics to show from our trip to KNP from 21-30 August.

I am ashamed to say that we have lived so close to Rietvlei Nature Reserve for 20 years but have only been there 4 times. SIES.
