Is camping or sleeping rough on top of table mountain allowed? Since I am not part of the Scouts or the MSC i dont have access to their respective sleeping facilities.

I want to hike from Table Mountain to Silvermine, just one overnight stay, but am having trouble on deciding where to camp for the night. I want to start at kasteelspoort and camp on top of the table, but where to sleep?

Any thoughts?

Being up North, I must admit that I don't know too much about this park. But there will probably be some Forumites who are much more clued up on this topic. Let's see ...

In the meantime... here is a link to activities in TMNP. There are two overnight trails. Maybe that will help?

Thanks for the link. Ja i did check it out, but im trying to construct my own trail. There are various overnight stay places but they cost, im trying to sleep rough. I suppose no ones going to come and arrest me or anything...
