Does anyone know what happened to the baby baboon. Don't tell me off but did the Leopard kill its mother I couldn't bring myself to watch the beginning of the video I know I know it nature :redface:

Hi Mikath, the leopard killed the baboon's mother. According to Imberbe in the Baboon thread mentioned above, the baby baboon died of hypothermia during the night. :(

The leopard is called Legadema (Light from the sky). Beverly and Dereck Joubert followed this leopard for a few years and made a book (and DVD) about it. In the book "Eye of the leopard" Beverly and Dereck Joubert described it as:

"She didn't eat the baby baboon. The cold night, shock, and the lack of nutrition all took their toll and the tiny, almost inaudible calls went quiet and stopped."
