I was wonder if there are more members making art like drawing, painting, sculpture, airbrush, woodcut or what ever

My So has done a few years of doing sculptures.
Our home filled with marble and other kind of stones
Among others we own a ellie and a owl.

I am not a artist but my daughter is.
My avetar of the Chameleon is a computer drawing by her.
She is also starting to do some wildlife art.

Wow Oumie! I'm really impressed. I do fabric painting too, and I would never had thought to put all those different designs together - love the colours of the flag in the traditional tribal design, with the bushman painting effect and the zebra stripes all in between. I would have thought it would be too busy, but it works really well.

I also thought that it was going to be too busy, but I trusted my teacher and carried on with the cloth. When the black border was put on then it all came together

these are a few of the paintings.
The first is a daisy painted in Hoopoe plumage, the 2nd a water lilly as an African Jacana, the 3rd a River Lilly as a NT and the last a Disa as a Rosyfaced Lovebird. (All are indigenous to RSA.)

Nico, what do you predominantly work in - oils/acrylics?

I'm starting my first wildlife oil painting tonight (of a bataleur feeding on a civet - a pic I took in 2000) - I've done the basic sketching on the canvas and now very excited. The canvas is around 1m20 x 1m40.

I've generally just drawn (pen or pencil) before. I'm still finishing off a leopard that I started in 2001

If anyone's interested i'll put some pics up on here. But otherwise, keep the passion showing through your work people & don't be afraid to share your progress here.

I'd be interested to hear of people's favourite spots in sanp's if you have any. Quick sketches of flowers/scenes etc in camps are always nice - very relaxing!
