It's not. Just one of the millions of places, have a look at Flickr.... Why do you think I needed to write a new tutorial for that site?
The thiefs are also not people, but robots (bits of programs) scouring the web.

Excuse my niavity- how does one go about officially copyrighting ones picture. Also, if you are not a professional or without authorization from SANPARKS arent all the pics then belonging to them if published?

They just go through all pages on all websites (if they are allowed to) and harvest. Some (most) are harmless, like the ones from searchengines like Google or Yahoo, but some are not.
I have banned quite a few from my sites.

Pucelou - do all DSLR's have this feature? Never seen anthing in my handbook about it. :hmz:

All digital cameras have it. Here you can read up on it a bit.
