Sherbert. Have pretty much cleared the weekend so I could come. Was looking at the beginning of the thread to check the venue, and realised you're planning on meeting on the 29th. Somehow I assumed it is a Sunday. Guess I won't be making it after all...

Yip, agree, I want to get good light, and because I don't know the place, we need some time to see where is the best location. I am going to try and be there at about 06:30... :hmz: It may be cold still that time of the morning, so bring lots of coffee!!

These coordinates is in the format: WGS 84 hddd°mm'ss.s"

From my house in Fourways it's just over 80km's, so it will be an early morning, yummie!

Hi Switchback,

Just saw this thread now & I would love to come. Are children allowed - my son, Bush Brat, might also enjoy the outing?

Of course they can come Flutterby!

I will be there at about 06:30 an want to go in at 06:45 latest, I'll have a yellow ribbon on my camera bag again, but at that time of the morning, I think we will be the only people allowed in...

If I am not at the gate and you guys want to enter so long, or if we are already in and you want to enter and the gates aren't open, call Zeldene at Bird Haven on 082 900 0656 and she will open for you. Just tell her you are a photographer and with the SANParks camera club and she will open for you.

If any need my cell number, send me a PM.

See you all at 06:30 tomorrow morning!

Thanks Switchback. Really looking forward to it. This will be my first chance to meet some fellow 'mites! :)

Is there any chance I could follow someone there? I don't have GPS and am likely to get hopelessly lost. I live in Paulshof, Sandton.

You can follow me, I'll be leaving from Fourways. Get onto the N1 SOUTH toward Bloemfontein and meet met at the BP garage at Beyers Naude Off Ramp on the N1 at 06:00AM. I'll be driving a Silver Isuzu D/C with Aluminium Canopy - trust me, you won't miss it...

It's a shame we won't meet up again Shi - was looking forward to some snacks!!

Thanks so much SB. I'll be in a silver Kia Sportage. See you bright and early then. :)

I take it that we should bring our own snacks and drinks etc.?
