Beautifully expressed, Noel!  "Evocative" is such an apt word! I don't think the Durbanites would mind - they probably get told that all the time.  So, when ARE you going again?

Kalulu, its hard work :naughty: , taxing on the emotions :rtm: , having to look again at all those pics that remind you of the good times in the KNP  . Here are some more, hope you like them.

This one I struggled to get right as I do not have a decent compatible lens for my digital Camera, and used an older wide angle lens. Moon reflection over the Sabie River, taken from LS deck.

And this beautiful sunset over Sabie River-Took quite a few of this stunning moment, this one I think is best

And a few random ones.

And this image will be familiar to us all-especially those that love Sunset dam.

OWN, I am going as soon as there is money in the pocket, which at the moment looks looooong time away. Maybe November/December.

Maybe see you there, Noel.

Your photography is absolutely exquisite!!    You have such a great eye for composition, colour, and balance! I couldn't tear my retinae away from those pics, getting lost in the depths of the scene.

All of them great, but the sunset and the one below it are my favourites.

Anne Marie, Don't tell anyone, i'm an expert in Japanese Drawing :hmz: Don't know what happened with colour-computer playing games with my drawing skills. By the way, that kingfisher is to be seen at Transport dam, usually if you look to the left of the dam, you will it. Moist people do not see it, and of course it is far away, like a tiny spec on a Japanese painting  Maybe play around some more with it.

OWN-Glad you liked them! Can't wait to get back there. Thanks for your comments-Usually I go for composition first when I take photos.
Have a great day everyone!
Noel

Sorry to have put you through such trauma, Noel  but I'm selfishly delighted with this new lot of reflections. Thanks!

Agree with OWN about your skills. That kingfisher one does look like a Japanese painting, doesn't it? My faves are the stunning sunset and the last pic. but they're all lovely. Keep them coming!

I love this thread. Reflections are so atmospheric.

I took this picture at the Skukuza reception area the day after the Skukuza half marathon. I had a bit of a problem kneeling to get the best angle.. and even more of a problem standing up again  but the beauty of the moment was breath taking.

My goodness, STUNNING! and worth the pain, I hope. I imagine it'd make a beautiful wall poster, MM: very calming, soothing.
