Could he be a Narcissus, in love with his own reflection?? Looks entranced by something - maybe just the cool drink. Great pic, Skywalker. Thanks.

DotDan, gorgeous photo!  What is interesting about the pic is that the curve on the bird's beak-tip is so much more pronounced in the reflection!

Fantastic photo's Noel, and I especially love the kingfisher reflection (those colours!) and the last one (moon). Thanks for sharing them. Hope we see LOTS more of your wonderful photo's.

Thanks JJ, FC, Kalulu, Anne-Marie, OWN.

Yes, that moon reflection is so evocative, and makes me long to be there again. It was early in the morning, end of the month, so a new moon (full moon?) and could have stayed there until the sun came up. But after a weekend of no cat sightings, I was off to Skukuza. Then the best sightings for many years-two hours with a pride of lions-3 stunning males, a few females and some cubs. And later -a few minutes actually, a LIT with its meal. Knew I had to drag myself away from Sunset Dam. But quite a start to my day-evocative indeed. There is nothing quite like the KNP. One of my friends phoned me the other day "i am going to Durban for the weekend- are you envious" my reply. Rather give me a two hours with a pride of lions and you can keep your Durbs! :D  (With all due respect to Durbanites). A sentiment shared by many a forumite

WHEN AM I GOING AGAIN

Cheers

Noel
