I can't see why they couldn't pick you up from Balule - the stargazing is done at N'wamanzi lookout, not at Olifants

Emily I've done the astronomy night - it was a wonderful experience and I learnt so much. Obviously a map of the southern skies isn't really helpful for me "up here" but just getting the opportunity to have a closer look at the planets was fantastic. We were lucky and had a really clear view of Saturn.

Very much worth the money and I'd recommend it to anyone.

I am dying to do the astronomy night drive when we stay in Olifants in November. I was told to reserve directly with the camp. Does anyone know how far in advance I should contact them?

Thank you!!! :D

Late afternoon should be fine as that drive needs the sun to be down.
I would give them a call say 2 weeks before arriving. Using my phone here, so I can't link, but the contact numbers and mail are on the camps page.

Does anyone know why this activity has been stopped? (Apologies if I missed this in a previous post)
