This beauty was taken on the S131 close to the Rhidonda Pan.
A car approaching from the front thought I signaled a 'hi', but actually I had my hand up in the air telling him to stop. :slap:
Anyway, it ended up in him waving a 'hi' back and kept on driving, JUST missing this little one. :wall:

Hi Stormfinch and welcome.

I don't think there is any specific place to view Chameleons in Kruger, we have pretty much seen them all over.
They tend to show up more on the tar roads but of course are most at risk there of being run over due to the extra traffic which is very sad.
We usually stop and protect them with the car until they have crossed over.
I think a lot of folk just don't look at the road enough and therefore they get run over.

If you walk around the camp at night, you can shine a torch on the shrubs/trees and you will see them.
They turn very light when they sleep and the torch light makes them "glow" ,like a whitish colour, very hard to miss.
Then you can go there in the morning and they will usually still be sitting in the same spot while the sun starts to heat them up.
