Hello,
I was wondering if anyone could identify tadpoles that a friend found recently.
The head is an unusual triangular shape, almost like a small hammerhead shark:-)
and mostly transparent. The tail is longer and thinner than our more commonly seen river tadpoles (here in the Cape).
Unlike other tadpoles which seem to head to the surface and then right back down to rest on the bottom or on a rock these fellows just keep on swimming around, like little fish, never rest, just keep exploring........
I do not have a photo as yet, but will try to get one.
I know that it is not much to go on, but thought it worth a try...
thanx

Hello there,

I am hoping someone can help me identify this frog/toad that we saw outside our door at P'kop rest camp in KNP. The colors are off a bit bc of the lighting from the door light.

Thanks!
