Hi everybody and thanks for the positive response :)

I think it was definitely a fight for food. So far they can get them, other snakes are forming a big part of the diet of cobras...I took this picture five years ago in the Nossob area:

Thank you, guys...and yes, I think the name of the Puff Adder was "Dinner". I was not able to watch the end of the encounter (due to the gate hours). But for me it seemed that the Adder was getting weaker by each minute. She was not even able to get cover somewere out of the road. And the thing I saw was the cobra which disppeared after my approach....

These animals are my favorite. I am a snake catcher and rescue these more than most.
