Would it be possible to include the URL to the .mobi website in the topic reply notification mails?

We'll investigate. Thanks, madach.

Anybody done a booking via SANParks.mobi yet?

We would appreciate feedback that helps us make the system as user-friendly as possible.

Yes, it should be all working fine now.

Sorry if there were any disruptions on the 16th.

Photos are displayed fine, haven't tried viewing a video yet. No avatars, presumably to keep bandwith requirements low?

Yep! That's also why the interface is as good as without graphics.

Not a problem, I just missed my lunchtime "fix".

How about a thread with live sightings updates...everyone can be kept up to the minute as to where sightings are...looking forward to something like this, could be fun but I will more than likely keep my mobile as far as possible

Noted. Thanks, o-dog.

Please just don't keep your phone near your bed at night. Wireless technology as well as addiction to webcams can both cause insomnia.

you can only update it though once you get to camp. i like staying out the whole day, and it would be causeing us to once again rely on technology while we are trying to escape it.

i wouldn't use that

Can someone share the link to the mobile forums ? When going to sanparks.mobi and following the link to the forums, it opens the full forums and not the mobile forums as per screen shot in this topic.

Using the new blackberry torch 9800.

Thanks beforehand.

If i am allow to ask, what forums software is used for the forums ? vBulletin, smf, phpbb.... ?

I run blackberry support forum and was able to get the wap site to work on the torch 9800 with php code added. Willing to share the code if it could help.

phpBB is used, as you can see on the bottom of any page.
I don't know which plugin was used to render the light pages, but if you are running phpBB I can ask.
It is not WAP you are seeing.

Missed that completely. I use smf, so the php code most likly wont work at all.

Something like this might help as well: http://www.jansoft.se/Jan-Soft2/En/Products_phpBB.php

For some reason after the new look website was launched, the forums on the mobile site have reverted to the "full size".

The php code for mobile was most likely not on the theme code for the new look.

Can someone please tell this technology challenged individual what the difference is between Sanparks.mobi and Sanparks, which I open in Opera Mini on my mobile.

Hi Rooies

I'm the SANParks Webmaster.

Sanparks.mobi is a valid URL whereas sanparks won't mean much to a browser. :) A smart browser like Opera may do some fancy work and redirect you automatically to www.sanparks.org.

It's always best tho to give the browser a valid URL. So, to make it work in Opera, type in either sanparks.mobi or www.sanparks.mobi

Regards

Mina.
