For the Mites looking on here...wondering what the devil tree we are talking about...it was a most special, magical place called the fever tree where the FAC could meet to discuss the 'business at hand'
There we could shrug off our Forumite jackets, roll up our sleeves, and desperatly try to find that one special report, that one special picture, the many special mites, that were chosen for a short list for all to vote on.
I dearly miss the Fever Tree, and I truly treasure the friendships I've made there.
That's what this Forum is...from top to bottom. People, Nature, and one common goal

Locke I was a FAC member in 2008.... I know what you mean. You miss that private little space where just the FAC can go and chat

Become a mod, or forum assistent.
Even during some hot topics we happily post completely offtopic posts, like jokes, photos and what not....

My route:
Goodmorning (the mods one), mods forum, member list (usually meaning a little trip to another part of the site to ban and delete spammers, and then active topics.
PM's somewhere in between, if any.

And I also check the View unanswered posts from time to time, to see if someone needs help, yet isn't getting replies.

I normally go to "view your posts" first to see who is brave enough to differ from me. Very few pm's from the mods. I think that they start to realize that I am right most of the times. The Indaba topic is my favourite, it is always nice to argue and discuss the controversial issues pertaining to SANparks and nature in general.

Always greet first and then where ever my fancy takes me. Not to fussed just interested in Nature and what she allows us to do.

I simply literally start at the bottom and plough my way up!

If I don't get to the Kruger threads, for example, so be it!

Have to admit I usually start with GGGG, after seeing what`s on cams (that`s where I started, before I realised there were forums - after which they took over!). Sometimes check Chill Room, but usually track down through threads to see if anything grabs my interest. Usually when that happens I then spend ages reading through what has gone before so that I get an idea (hopefully1) what it`s all about. Don`t see/read as much as I would like as daily life keeps getting in the way! PM`s usually mean a message from a forum friend, perhaps with a little extra or more personal information .

I go straight to the "View active topics" link as it lists all threads - read a lot more than I post. PM's, what's that?

You plough your way up to the northern part of the
forums RP. Currently I am up there at the moment and preparing to surf all the way back down to
chit chat. A bit quiet up there anyway of topic stuff this.

Like today I gingerly press view your posts. Obviously
because someone will be upset. That's a fact. Then
I view new posts. There I might find certain members
forming a posse with a shoot to kill attitude.

I then move on to view active topics. There I will be
able to see myself being torn to shreds.

I then move on to unanswered posts... where I will
realise no replies, meaning that I have been excused and may continue enjoying the forums, though on borrowed time.
