Post subject: How is the road R26 from Rouxville (N6) to Clarens?

We are travelling up to KNP (from East London) end of the month and last year we did this route there were roadworks on this road and some stretches were full of potholes and stop/go's....
Anybody have any news on the condition of the road at present?
Last year it wasn't too bad but this year towing a luggage trailer so don't need any mishaps along the way.
