There is another thread about Mynahs and it's got people pretty worked up. Certainly I get wound up when they come around my place and they go for the hoopoe nestlings. But anyway, are there any other invasive species in SANParks? That is plant or animal. I believe that there used to be a hyacith problem at one time. I also know that there was a time that a certain beetle or something was being introduced as a natural enemy in other parts of the country. I know that there is fish issues in some parts of the country as well.

A few years ago when visiting Kruger we were on our way to shing and saw Sanparks workers chopping and removing plants and bushes next to the road and in the bush, we stopped and asked what they were doing and they said they were removing invasive plants. This was on the road between Mopani and Shing.
