What is your vice then? The same as Val's ( )

Val, that is amazing! Hope you go broke.

Yes, I'll use Val's wishlist and amounts.
6 days to go for me!

I must admit I wasn't really looking for Woodies, I'd sort of filed it in the back of my mind as an impossible challenge.
But this morning at about 9:30, while on the Timbavati road I was amazed to be greeted by one right next to the road. It flew off when we stopped, but I did manage to relocate it further away and take a photo as proof, even though it is almost too far to see colours, but the silhoette is there.
First woody of the season?
The signal here is terrible, but will post pic when I'm at home, for what its worth! Listening to the hippos in the Olifants now, drinking an Amarula. Cheers!

I will valiantly carry on with my Woody Challenge in KNP..................and I will also pledge the following:-

R50 for a good Woody sighting with photo.
R100 for a good AWC sighting with photo.
R100 for a good Blackie sighting with photo.
R100 for a good Painted Doggie sighting with photo.
R100 for a good Cheetah sighting with photo.
R100 for a good Eland sighting with photo.
R100 for a good Scops, Verreaux, other (non Pels) owl sighting with photo.
R100 for any Orange-Winged Pytilla sighting with photo.
R100 for any Crested Guinea Fowl sighting with photo.
R500 for any Pels sighting with photo.
R500 for any Pangolin sighting with photo.
R500 for any Narina Trogon sighting with photo.

Worth every cent!!!

Since I've (at long last) finished my trip report for my October KNP trip to Olifants - its time to tally up the sightings. Even though I saw a Woody, I did not manage to get a photo to prove it (and it was so early too). I did however see some Wild dogs (very special) and Scopsie at Satara. So, my donation to the project will be R200, which I'll pay when I get the banking details.
Great challenge and I was proud to take part and do a little bit towards making the dream a reality.

Well done Mel...........I'm leaving my list until we leave here at the end of Feb.

So far I have AWC, Doggies, Verreaux's Eagle Owl, Woody.

So far that makes R350!!
Still chasing the elusive Blackie and Cheetahs....please hold thumbs!!

Our trip North was very disappointing bird wise, and I don't think we'll get there again before we leave!!
