Congratulations to everyone who worked soo tirelessly to get this all together. This takes effort and deciation beyond norms and you have managed after all this time to get it done. Thanks for hanging in there and never giving up.

Highly appreciate – thank you! :gflower:

But I would like to extend the gratitude much further than to Sharifa, Duke, vinkie, Timbits and myself as there were so many more mites involved without whom we would have never been able to achieve this.

On our first event at Nossob in October 2011 Sharifa, Duke, Spots & I met up to make an appearance on the webcam there. Charlize, one of the rangers, took care of our safety while Jacliz and her SO made sure there would be photographic proof (The Silly Pictures!) in case the cam should give up working just at the time.

The next events were the first and the second Addo do’s set up by PJL who went out of his way to capture and transmitte photos from his game drives Addo with his mobile.

Fundraiser number 4 was the third Addo event. Mites from three continents met up to appear on the cam: melph68 and melphs dad from Oz, RonnieL and koedoe from Africa and Spots and I from Europe. But of course, there was also Danie who pointed the camera at us.

After that we had the Cricket in the Cradle hosted by Meandering Mouse and attended by melph68, melphs dad, chirinda and Shi.

Then the Rare Sighting Challenge in Mountain Zebra by Duke and Sharifa and the Woodies and Webcams – The challenge, also initiated by Duke.

And last, but definitely not least Sharifa’s amazing pieces of artwork for the mobile webcam: Golden Light for our Webcams, A Stitch in Time for our Webcam Future, Can we stop our Leopard going to Canada?, And African Lady for Germany? and You don’t have to shoot yourself into the Leg for this one.

Additionally all those who contributed as well during the above events and / or kept them rolling for more participants:

The never-forgotten p@m, wildflowergirl, Melrockson, Super Mongoose, hilda, Boorgatspook, mel123, Crested Val, chirinda,
kyknetta, H. erectus, Matthys, DinkyBird, bert, anne-marie
and grannyb.

:k Thanks to you all! :k
:k Without your participation it wouldn’t have worked!
:k

Also, I enjoyed interacting with you big time and fondly remember the bantering on the according threads or even in real. 8)

I agree 100%

We often forget how much was put in and how much was achieved.

I salute all those who gave so much.

I know that there is disappointment that the final target was not met..... I am going to add the word...yet

I think this is an important step and who know what this technology might bring.
