I can feel a trip report coming

A friend of mine who has visited the KNP no more than 10 or so times saw a serval near Nwanetzi for a good 2 minutes , no other cars .. just 10 days ago . He also saw a leopard for a few minutes , hardly any other cars nearby ....
KNP is sacred. I am opposed to the modernisation of Kruger and from the depths of my soul long for the Kruger of yesteryear! 1000+km on foot in KNP incl 56 wild trails.200+ nights in the wildernessndloti-indigenous name for serval.

So tonight I leave , will be at the gate before first light .
Weather permitting , I have arranged another special activity , I and a friend will be able to be more or less alone (depending on if any other tourists drive it) on a 4x4 route , get out , have a picnic (both allowed) , have a doze on the ground (I will have another pair of eyes to watch my back , and vice-verse if she wants to doze) - so I can experience the silence of the wilderness without the noise of an engine or tyres on gravel .
Thursday night in an overnight hide , again perfect silence , and then the 3 evenings down south that I won by default , I will make the most of it and savour it , Dotty , thank you ...
