Hi All
This is my idea for “friendly” spamming on the reservation area of this web site. Eg, one of these points below flashes up while the user is waiting for a reply on availability, etc. They flash up randomly each time the user is waiting for a response on the bookings or info pages of the site. These points are totally open to suggestion and alteration and all input would be hugely appreciated

1. Remain in the vehicle at all times. For your own safety. These are wild animals and will attack if provoked
2. Do not allow passengers to protrude from any part of the vehicle, including sun roofs This “breaks” the outline of the vehicle and causes stress to the animals
3. Do not allow passengers to protrude from any part of the vehicle, including sunroofs, as this endangers your passengers.
4. Only persons with valid a driver’s license may drive in any Sanparks reserve
5. Speed limits must be strictly adhered to. Speeding leads to tragic roadkills and often endangers the lives of the vehicles occupants
6. Slow down in our national parks. It gives you time to appreciate the nature you have come to see.
7. Slow down in our national parks You will see far more game at a slower speed
8. Drunken, rowdy and general bad behavior WILL NOT BE tolerated any where in the parks
9. All camps have a “NO NOISE AFTER 9.30pm RULE’ This is to ensure everyone can relax in the peace and quiet of our parks
10. Respect the animals personal space. DO NOT trap them between vehicles and any other barriers. This causes stress to the animal and may lead to aggressive behaviour.
11. Respect the animals personal space. DO NOT trap them between vehicles and any other barriers. This causes stress to the animal and may result in the animals death
12. DO NOT get between a mother and her baby Especially ELEPHANT RHINO AND BUFFALO as the mother WILL become aggressive
13. Respect other people’s rights at ALL sightings, but especially big 5 sightings. If everyone is considerate all will get a chance to see whatever is there
14. No pets allowed in any park
15. All weapons must be declared and sealed at the gate to any Sanpark, but rather leave them at home. You don’t need them in the parks
16 Do switch off your vehicles engine at special sightings, and keep quiet. This enhances everbodys experience.
17 Do not drive over any dung as it probably has Dung beatles in it busy recycling in Natures own fashion

This is what I have so far. Some of the points are repeated with slightly different emphasis. This is because I wanted the points to be short and quick and easy to read.

Input please and Mods, what is Sanparks opinion of this suggestion. Do I carry on or is this not possible to do on this website? I did not want to make a separate page on the site as most people won't bother to go to rules and regulation page, but I thought if these messages flashed up while waiting for responses to the various queries, they might be read and taken notice of!

Looks like a good idea to me! Depends really on whether the IT fundis and/or the website can support it.

I am sure you will get input on it soon.....

Thanks EJ. The It side of it is way outside my area of expertise so YES we will have to see what the fundis have to say

Suggestion for 16.

Do switch off your vehicles engine at special sightings, and keep quiet. This enhances everbodys experience.

Pjw, I think that this is one of the best ideas I've ever seen on this forum (and I've been around for some time ) I'd think that your random individual rule popups — perhaps each with a nice small animal image as well to catch the eye, for those who might ignore plain text? — would be easy to implement. A simple and great idea for increasing awareness of park rules!! Bravo!!!
