Drop Your Rock Race (DYRR)

Unread postby wildtuinman » Thu Feb 14, 2008 7:16 am

Who would like to enter in the new planned event for this year @ the cricket?

Yes, we the creators of Duke Mission are bringing the the new international hit "Drop Your Rock Race" (DYRR) to your local Skukuza cricket ground this year.

The rules are plain and simple for those who don't know.

8 Contestants can participate in a race. Why 8? Cause thats the max number of people allowed on a trail, thats why.

Each contestant will pick a rock.

At the shout of "Geez! Lion!" or "Bliksem! Leeu!" you will make a run for it with your rock in hand. Run until you hit full pace, then DROP YOUR ROCK!

This delicate operation will enable you to run even faster, kicking dust in the lion's face and also enable you to pull out from under the other contestants. 2 slowest okes become lion food, fastest two advance to the next round.

At the end of the day there will be a slowest of them all race. And a fastest of them all. We can have a woman's and a men's event. Depending on the amount of contestants we can scramble together.

Feel free to place bets on it. (Thats if the Moddies allow it.)

Now we just need ladies and gentlemen to compete.

Yes, believe it or not. After they've gone thru the lion's digestion system, we will pick 'em up and roll 'em down a pvc drain pipe to judge the winner.

KNPSM, can you please accompany Mapoisa Mat² down to the Sabie River with your wheelbarrow over the weekend so that he can fetch us 8 sizable rocks?

And this will also make you qualify automatically for the race yourself, thank you very much. :P

Or if we wait another year for the slowest oke's race, we could then pick up the impala droppings, according to the circle of life theory, on the pitch and use that for a "bokdrol spoeg" competition.

WTM, I'm in, started my strenious excercise programme a few minutes ago. I'm gonna kick dus in everyones eyes.

Makes me think about the time when we (6 of us) were sitting next to the fence at CB. Next moment lion roaring at 2 meters. I waited for everyone at the tent, but the strangest was I was sitting in the same folding chair as at the gate. Everybody else forgot their chairs. Moral of the story, I am not only fast, but can think under pressure. 8)

Ok I’m in.

The word Lion  will get me in top speed within two meters from a standstill.

Just a warning, I will trip any one that passes me.

WTM, something just dawned on me, are we going to be penalised if we drop more than the rock? I mean, a lion on your tail is scary. :?
