Vvv, I am

don't worry there will be another opportunity. Enjoy your trip

Dave and Jan, it will be on Sunday the 11th, that is next week. I believe it is the same day as the rugby. I am suggesting that folk maybe get here early and watch the rugby (if they wish) after a bird walk.

Perhaps if people bring a picnic brunch/lunch, it would be great.

Hugh is only here for a couple of days and would love to meet some mites.

this is where she is staying and this is where I would love her to meet some mites.

it is about 10 minutes from Lanseria, so not at the end of the world at all.

Good morning :D

So far we have:

Mosij
Chirinda
OWN
Bushmom
Bushbaby30

?DavenJan
?Josh

Last time I had people visit from the forum they were confused at this gate. Yes, you do have to go through.

Because of the rugby and because people each have their own commitments, I am making it an open day. Come when you want. I am going to supply some goodies from Maggies farm, just bring a plate of something to add to the fare. I will supply tea and coffee, but if mites want something a little more "spirit"-ual, please bring it with.

Just remember this bridge, if you are going to have a little something celebratory. It has no sides.

When you get to the Crocodile river:

look carefully. This is where I saw my Moorhen, also various kinds of ducks and a Darter.

Day: Sunday
Time: anytime
What to bring: something to add to the table and own drinks.

Hi MM

We are going to be at the botanical gardens tomorrow afternoon and hope to pop in later in the afternoon (heres hoping the mites overstay their welcome) and dont leave too early. Josh the GPS co-ordinates would be great.

I am making a quick posting before helping Hugh pack. I am not sure that they would cope without me

Firstly, to thank all for the good wishes. I think that it was very much appreciated by Hugh.

Sadly :( Shi sent apologies, she could not make it due to illness. Mosij was in Bela Bela and also out of action.

To those who managed the dusty roads    I think that I can say with confidence, a great time was had by all.

Those present:
Hugh and SO
MM
MM's mother

5 dogs, very much present
5 cats, hidden

In order of arrival:
Chirinda
Dave
Jan
2 delightful grandchildren
Bushmom
Bushbaby30.

The last guests left in the light of a full moon. My mother smiled at me, "MM, you have such lovely friends"

I agreed.

Mouse, thank you for a lovely day at a lovely venue with lovely people.

Den Staat road didn't seem quite so bad going back :D

I had a super day, good to meet new 'mites and renew friendships with others. So glad I was able to meet your Mom at last. And the rest of your family. Will post a couple of pics soon.

Hugh (E) and Hugh (SO) hope you have safe travelling and enjoy the rest of your journey home.

S.

Thanks once again for a lovely afternoon... We sure had a great time (even though work came before pleasure for us). It was nice to meet your mom, to see our cricket friends again and put some new faces to such familiar names.
Hope you have a safe and enjoyable journey down Hugh and the real Hugh! Hugh I'll be waiting for your promised "short TR"

Ps. I agree with you Chirinda the road back was not so bumpy but somehow I prefer the road there
