Hi Guys

Please post a confirmation here if you want to be part of this. You have an opportunity to make a real difference all the while walking on the banks of the Olifants. It will be for a few hours on 1 day only. Mites from Letaba and/or Olifants that want to join in, you are more than welcome. Could we have clarificatoin before Friday 1 April. I will post the finer details as soon as I have hammered them out with Olifants, but probable date will be Saturday 23 April.

Please specify how many people from your party will attend as Olifants need numbers to arrange rangers.

Petra - you and the whole family? Just be carefull, a fall there could be slightly more serious than the one in Skukuza

Bushmom - Let the non-forum members participate, we could use this opportunity to convince them to join - OR ELSE

Hi guys here is the latest list. Theuns and Robert, unfortunately the age set my the ranger is minimum 16. I do realise that you might not be able to go, as somebody needs to look after the youngsters. Fully understandeble. I am putting your names down in the meantime, we can then see how things go while at Balule, and if you can go it will be great and if it is not possible, we all understand.

Hi Lowveldboy,

I haven't been here for a while and just caught up. Seems like I missed out on a lot of info. Please add me and SO to your confirmation list. Looking forward to all the fun we are going to have.

We arrive on the 21st and depart 25, still looking for camping up north from 25 April to 2 May, not much success though

See you all on the banks of the Olifants
You are younger today than you ever will be again. Make use of it for the sake of tomorrow.

Guys, I still have one full spare campsite at Balule the nights of 21, 22, 23 April. Also, its only SO and I (i.e. 2 out of a max 6 people) on the other campsite, so there's quite a lot of spare space.

Also, I have 4 nights camping at Satara from 28 April to 1 May (inclusive) that I'm probably not going to use if anyone is interested.

I'll post both of these on the Accommodation Exchange thread soon too.

Hi Everyone,

With very little time left, I would love to wish you all a safe journey to Balule. We will enter at Phalaborwa on Friday morning, at 6.

I just wondered, when will we be able to enter at Balule?
Can we go directly there early morning and pick a spot for our tent, or do we have to wait till the afternoon for check-inn time? Will they allow us earlier?

It would be nice to put the tent up before the sun is to hot.

Enjoy your packing!

Ok, so for many reasons, I was unable to make this trip and it really hurts to know that I will be missing out on all the fun this weekend.

But I just checked on Google earth and it seems like no-one is there yet. Someone run outside and wave at the satellite.

Please drive safely so you can come back and tell us all about how much fun it was (just to make me feel even more mizz.)

I would have been arriving there about now and probably busy pitching my tent.

Conservation is not an option.
It's imperative.

Leave KNP alone. Go build a hotel someplace else. Reserves are for the preservation of wildlife.

Wish you could have been there, BH :( .

My greatest desire is to have been there. Unfortunately, not to be. :(

Damn, I am seriously missing the place.
