Hi

We found these this past weekend (not in a Sanpark and yes I know this is a Sanpark forum but everyone seems to know so much and have no idea where else to ask)
We were in a Ezemvelo nature reserve. The moths I have no clue about but they were huge that bug looks similar to a park town prawn with serious headgear.

Thank you.

I am not sure why, I loaded them normally. Sorry I have no idea what to do. Thank you anyway. Hopefully someone can see them. :)

Hi

I can follow the links, but they are not showing up correctly in your post. I think they are too big (i.e. larger than 800px wide), or something else is wrong. To view them, just copy the URL into a new tab in your web browser.

One of the emperor moths, Epiphora mythimnia (white-ringed atlas moth).

I'm definitely not an expert on moths, but I would have gone for an Imbrasia species(the same group that includes the Mopane moth, but this is definitely not one of them). The sharp angled forewing is throwing me off though. Please submit to the SABCA VM (http://sabca.adu.org.za) where one of the experts can possibly help you out.
