Can someone please help me with the Id of this damselfly? I struggled to get a photo of it, as it would just not sit still for long enough, and is really tiny and thin!
Was seen in Umhlanga Lagoon Nature Reserve, in the extensive reedbeds next to the lagoon.

Here is my thoughts on it:
It is one of the smaller damselflies.
It has the cherry red eyes, which to me, seemed to be the full eye as well as the head, and not just the undereye or post-ocular spots.
The thorax appears black with yellow and green stripes... **
The abdomen is thin and appears light blue, purplish
The bright blue at the end segments is only on the last 2 segments ( like in Hagen's sprite), and not over the last 4 as in Newton's Sprite.
My concern: the colouring on the thorax leans to Newtons Sprite??? But the brightblue segments doesn't fit into this speie's ID features.
Furthermore: The Newton Sprite has only been recorded on a very few occasions from KZN for one.
Other damselflies there were Kersten's Sprite.
