Then the ranger crapping them out for not helping? I'm sorry but in all my years and rangers I have met and chatted to and had beers with them their advice was always to get someone from the park to help ... we don't have the skills on the know how ... also since the "victims" are working on assumptions .. I will assume as well .. that surely they would have called a camp? I'm sure I would have. Oh wait .. I'm assuming .. so let's scrap that last part djor honor ... And a three point turn? hmm .. when did you try this? When you were up to the ellies arse? Or maybe you could have waited?

And that's all I will say ... coz this is a family forum .. but it's a free forum with each one allowed to have their own opinion .. this is mine and I'll respect yours ..

PS: Just to make sure our friends in the UK don't stress to much .. our gears are on the same side as your cars in the UK .. we also keep left and pass right and our vehicles are right hand drive.

PS PS : Since I am still human .. a mistake was made as so many level headed forumites have mentioned (thank you for reminding members like me). I do hope she recovers fully and am still glad they are alive.

Just to say. I passed my driving test in the UK. Then passed again in South Africa, plus, was also passed to drive a heavy goods vehicle, a 49 Seat Mercedes in South Africa. So I actually have an (old) South African drivers licence.

It is time to cool this now as there is nothing to be gained.

Sanparks did not make the decision to euthanase the elephant on the basis of the elephant being at fault. They based it on the fact that the elephant had trashed a car and the likelihood or even chance, that it could do it again.

Sanparks management has to have rules in place to guide their staff. The rule is, whether we like it or not! "That in the case of animal/human conflict, no matter who is at fault, the animal "buys the farm".

We can see that the driver of the car did not know her "backside from her elbow" as it were. She could have gunned the car out of there when the elephant was over to the left, she did not. But I don't believe they were deliberately provoking the bull elephant.

If I were not female myself, I would say a typical woman driver.

Mods... I think you should remove this & give missings a yellow card before all the musketeers on the forum agree and get into trouble for gender stuff under Rule 13.7,5:14"37.
Whatever (according to BB): "You are correct but I don't want to admit it".

Why would we do that, it is the first time a woman has been right on this forum. I think it should be preserved, even made a Sticky.
