.......an eternal sense of optimism, mixed with anticipation and anxiety about what we're going to experience, and what surprises are just around the corner! All the other stuff is paraphenalia!!

Best comment of all :gflower:

Love this thread. 'Only' 7 months till my next visit. Tick Tock....

I'll omit the basics such as wallet, toothbrushes etc:

1. Camera bag with all the techie things inside
2. Coffee Flask
3. Ouma Rusks (perfect start to every day when combined with nr.2 above)
4. Roberts KNP Bird Book
5. Extra long braai tongs to prevent from burning my fingers when using the short ones supplied by SANPARKS (no fault of theirs) which is to be found at the bungalows.

Oh How I wish I awake within KNP tomorrow!
To see a sunrise in KNP is to see magic.

Would recommend the following Top 5 Things

1. Loads of patience, often if you drive slowly and be observant you will be amazed by what you will view
2. Bird, Mammal Books which can be purchased from a bookstore
3. Water - To keep you hydrated
4. Map books
5. Warm clothing for the evening

Enjoy your stay and travel safe ........

Just wondered if anyone has found a very efficient portable thermo- electric fridge.
How about Coleman?
I once tried a Makro supplied Campmaster, I think it was, but in Durban it didn't cool cans of cool drink overnight!
The compressor ones are very heavy to carry and to buy!
A few mites mentioned fridges a while ago!
